Repulping Technology receives gold status for quality and environmental management system

Repulping Technology receives SIGNAL-IDUNA Environment and Health Award at anniversary event in Hamburg

Every 2 years, this award is presented by Germany's largest environmental network partnership, organized by the Hamburg Chamber of Crafts and SIGNAL IDUNA, to companies, organizations or individuals for special achievements in the field of environmental protection. The special feature of this year's event: the prize will be awarded for the 20th time in 2021 and will be hosted as a Senate reception. This anniversary was not missed by high-ranking representatives from politics, for example Hamburg's Senate was represented by Mr. Jens Kerstan from the Ministry for the Environment, Climate, Energy and Agriculture. The aim of the event is to honor and support ideas and developments that contribute to the conservation of energy and resources.

Repulping Technology received the award for a closed-loop concept, in which cellulose-based composite materials and other types of waste paper - previously difficult to recycle paper grades - can be recycled in a significantly improved way by the "cavitation pulper".

We are particularly pleased that the event was able to take place under strict hygiene regulations despite the ongoing pandemic.

Awarded with the BAVARIAN ENVIRONMENTAL AWARD 2020

The Bavarian State Foundation awards the “BAVARIAN ENVIRONMENTAL AWARD 2020” to Repulping Technology for outstanding achievements in the field of environmental protection. The President of the state parliament, Ms. Barbara Stamm a.D. explicitly emphasized the positive importance of the development of the “cavitation pulper” which improve the recycling quality for multilayer materials and thus also directly on our environment.

Our Managing Director Ulrich Neumüller also believes that the development represents a milestone in the recycling of paper-based composites: "For the first time, it is possible that cellulose fibers can be separated from coating materials of high quality and thus enable a complete recycling of these materials. This is only possible through great teamwork. It is an honor to see our performance perceived as outstanding".

The composites are used in packaging materials for many goods and products of our daily lives, mainly in the food sector. The plastic avoidance strategies of the trading group will significantly increase the distribution of them. It is important that we now have a high-quality and efficient recycling solution for this problem.

Due to the pandemic, the award ceremony with State Minister (MdL) Dr. Markus Söder had to be postponed several times and finally cancelled. However, we are delighted to be present at the 2021 awards ceremony.

Environment exhibition of the federal president and the DBU is postponend to 2021!

Dear customers and partners,

because of the current situation, the exhibition "Woche der Umwelt" which was planned on 9th and 10th June 2020 in Berlin, unfortunately is postponend to 2021. The exact date will be announced in due time by the German Federal Environment Foundation (DBU).
